After many months of planning and anticipation I travelled to Antarctica in January 2005. I went to the Falkland Islands (briefly) before sailing on to South Georgia, the South Shetland Islands, and then along the Antarctic Peninsula. South Georgia offered remarkable scenery plus tens of thousands of King Penguins. Further south we voyaged into the icy heart of Antarctica to see remarkable creations of sculptured ice floating by, sometimes with a penguin or seal hitching a lift. It was a photographers paradise, especially for someone like me who loves the wide open spaces and cold environments.

I have tried to include images that give an overall flavour of the trip, the scenary and the wildlife. Of the thousands of images that I have took, I can only include a few here, but I hope you enjoy my selection.
All of these are available for purchase. Email me for more details.
